Places to wet your whistle

Traveling can be a thirsty past time, especially up here in the tropics where its essential to replace fluids for your health and well being. I have listed a few of Broome’s best places to wet your whistle.
Just in case you were interested .. Many years ago in England , pub frequenters had a whistle baked into the rim, or handle, of their ceramic cups. When they needed a refill, they used the whistle to get some service. ‘Wet your whistle’ is the phrase inspired by this practice.

Matso’s Brewery

Zanders Restaurant

You can’t drive any closer to the beach than Zanders. Set on the grassed area above Cable Beach, locals and tourist alike gather together to sit back, sink an ice cold beer or sip an amazing cocktail while watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean.

Divers Tavern

Located on Cable Beach Road, almost all the way to Cable Beach, Divers is a popular venue with tourists and locals alike. Roebuck Bay Hotel
