Bush fire nears broome
A bush fire raging out of control 40 km east of Broome, is burning both sides of the Great Northern Highway and has been exacerbated by strong easterly winds of 25 to 35 km/h, tending southeasterly 15 to 20 km/h expected this evening.ir-leasing.ru
Similar winds are expected tomorrow.
The bushfire is approximately 10 kilometres south of the Roebuck Roadhouse and the Broome Highway and is moving fast and is described as unpredictable.
The cause of the fire is suspicious.
Broome firefighters and Emergency Services are on scene and have been battling the fire since Wednesday.
The residents of Crab Creek, a mere 3.66kms north of Broome have been issued with a Bushfire WATCH AND ACT.
